Brent School Baguio

The Brent International School was founded by a man named Charles Henry Brent. Born 1862 in Canada, he was educated in Toronto and ordained in the Anglican Church of Canada. Between 1901 and 1902 he served in Boston, at a church where poverty, crime, and general squalor encouraged an increased religious presence. The Philippines had been acquired by the United States in the Spanish-American War, and the Episcopal Church saw an opportunity to expand their influence. Brent was elected as Missionary Bishop of the Philippines and sent over on the same boat with
