Company description
The Philippine postal system has a history spanning over 250 years. The first post office was established in the city of Manila in 1767. It was organized under a new postal district of Spain in 1779, encompassing Manila and the entire Philippine archipelago. In 1783, the postal service was organized in the Philippines-overseas mail from the Philippines was conveyed to Europe by Spanish ships via eastbound routes through Mexico. Later on, the postal district was re-established on December 5, 1837. After a year, Manila became known as a leading center of postal services within Asia. Spain joined the Universal Postal Union in 1875, which was announced in the Philippines two years later.

During the Philippine Revolution, President Emilio Aguinaldo ordered the establishment of a postal
Show more service to provide postal services to Filipinos during that time. On September 5, 1902, it was organized as a bureau under the Department of Trade (currently known as Department of Trade and Industry) by virtue of Act No. 426, which was passed by the Philippine Commission. The Philippines finally joined the Universal Postal Union in January 1, 1922 as a sovereign entity.

The Manila Central Post Office Building, the center of the Philippine postal services and the headquarters of then-Bureau of Posts, was completed in 1926. It was destroyed during World War II (1945) but was rebuilt in 1946, after the war.

The Manila Central Post Office located at LiwasangBonifacio is a neo-classical building designed by two American architects and a Filipino namely: Ralph Doane, Tomas Mapua, and Juan Marcos de Guzman Arellano. The Post Office Building was considered as the grandest building during its time, and is now considered as one of the dominating landmarks in Metro Manila.

With the overhaul of the Philippine bureaucracy in 1987, the Bureau of Post was renamed the Postal Service Office (PSO) by the virtue of Executive Order No. 125 issued by then-President Corazon Aquino on April 13, 1987. It was also that order which placed PSO under the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC). On April 2, 1992, by virtue of the Republic Act No.7354 issued by then-President Fidel V. Ramos, PSO became a government owned and controlled corporation named as the Philippine Postal Corporation of more commonly known today as PHLPost.

Phlpost are low life scammers they try their best to delay you to ever get your package so that they can keep it themselves they want you to go to pasay and get it yourself and to top it all off they charge you taxes ✌️ That is worth more than what’s in the package I live in the USA and I’ve never been taxed more than what I’ve paid for corrupted and the employees can’t even answer simple questions everyone who works here is pathetic

Very poor service
I am having a very bad experience with Philpost door to door service. The delivery people have reported a failed delivery last week and now have texted that they tried to deliver but there wasn't anyone to recieve the package. We have been at home since last week and I also spoke to the village guards including the ones at the gate. No one from Philpost has asked for us. We recieve all deliveries from Shopee and Lazada plus a balikbayan box last week. They are the only one that could not complete delivery. Guy who texted would not even answer my call.

They do nothing, you have to go and pick up the box. I was not happy with their business and they don't do courier boxes to door. They only go to ur house to left a note to tell u to pick the box up. How dare they I pay the expensive fee for one box and my young family have to go down to Pasay post office from Novaliches! And also they charge of expensive fee of 20,000 pesos fee? I am not very happy with their ugly business and they all are they are greedy with money and lazy job!

Failed Delivery - Uncontactable
I was not home the day they delivered my sss cheque and provided me a registry notice to claim it at the post office which didn't have an address or phone number to call and the delivery office noted it was not even clear (had to guess what CPO meant). I went there and the clerk told me the cheque was not with them but with the delivery man. She gave me his contact number but when I called, it said out of coverage area or unattended. I never was able to get thru the deliveryman even, days after. Now, I have to make another trip to the post office to check if it is now available to claim since their phones aren't even working.

Accommodating staff
I would like to commend two of your staff ( mam Vangie and sir Mark). They assisted me promptly when i made a call asking them why was it in the tracking system it said “FAILED DELIVERY”!!! When in fact nobody came to our house.
This happened on 2 occasions and talked to these people.... They were so kind and got the tracking number.... True enough the next day, I received the parcel.... (those were my PPEs which i need badly)
God bless... and keep safe...
PUBLIC USER

NO DELIVERY?
Emailed the PHLPost asking where tf my order is because the tracking number said that my order arrived Jan 28. Reply I got was “ subject item was dispatched to PASAY Central Post
Office on JAN. 28, 2020, and the recipient can directly inquire/claim said mail in that office citing the tracking number.”

Tried contacting the Pasay office but the landline won’t come through.
Now what? I have to go there myself?
My address is literally in Pasay City too? Hindi din magawa???
