Hillcrest Heights InstituteSan Francisco, Magalang, PampangaIn June 2005, the population of Magalang and its surrounding areas were rapidly increasing and entering a stage of modernization. High-class subdivisions were emerging; Supermalls were being constructed; and lavish cars and houses were becoming more and more frequent. The community needed a school that could serve the growing school-age population as well as the demand for higher quality education. The Tolentino Family, headed by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Dra. Cristeta Tolentino, decided to respond to this calling by establishing Hillcrest Heights Institute. Also known as HHI or Hillcrest, the school is envisioned to be the leading provider of Urban-Class Education and Lifestyle in the area. To heed to their mother’s calling, the brothers Romualdo (President and engineer) and Arcadio Jr. (Vice President and architect), painstakingly planned and worked together in constructing a refreshingly modern and oversized Western inspired school campus. Their collaborative efforts paid off resulting to an eight-hectare school compound incorporating the most ideal school structure and premier facilities the people of Magalang has ever seen during that time. In fact, first-time visitors often regard it as the best private school in the area. More so, Magalang’s tranquil surroundings, lush green trees and a magnificent view of Mount Arayat all add up to the stimulating learning environment of the campus. Today, the school continues to grow under the supervision of its three administrators: John Michael (Academic Administrator), Karl (Operations Administrator) and Rembrandt (Marketing and Finance Administrator) all dedicated cousins, working side by side by side, continuing their grandmother’s mission and vision – shaping into their family’s legacy. These distinguished administrators were assigned to take the lead in providing Urban-Class Education and Lifestyle under the motto, “Home of REAL Quality Education” so as to differentiate the quality being offered by HHI from other previously established private schools in the area; and who else is better to oversee Urban-Class Education and Lifestyle than administrators who graduated in two of the best educational institutions in the country, the Ateneo de Manila University and the De La Salle University – the best of both worlds under one roof. Rest assured, the whole HHI family, together with the school principal, faculty members and staff, are all working together, in continuously improving and updating the school’s campus, program and systems to suit the ever changing modern world, fulfilling the family’s legacy to the community, better preparing the growing younger generation for their new future!
