Executive recruitment firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of the earliest and largest crypto platforms in Southeast Asia offering exchange and wallet services to users. Their product lineup also includes electronic payment service and e-wallet where users can send money to anyone, pay for bills, shop online at over 100,000 merchants, receive money transfers from 200+ countries even without a bank account, and view and purchase cryptocurrencies.

The job is in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines, and offers a Hybrid Working Arrangement.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and monitor the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes in revenue recognition, PPE, ROU, clients' assets, and financial instruments, and accruals posting and reversals.
• Gain a thorough understanding of the busines processes to optimize the Record to Report (R2R) processes to ensure scalability and resilience and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, especially on IFRS and local GAAP.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to obtain buy-ins to ensure finance related internal controls are properly implemented and documented, and business processes changes are identified and updated in the relevant internal controls timely.
• Manage the delivery processes for the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordination of statutory audits; and coordinate internal teams and external service providers to ensure the compliance of statutory compliance requirements for all group entities located in different regions.
• Work with internal legal and compliance team, and external advisors to understand new laws and regulations globally and their impact to our current and potential businesses and structures.
• Initiate finance transformation by working with cross-functional teams to design, testing and roll-out automations of finance systems/tools/processes to build for scale; and assess new business initiatives to integrate them effectively into the period-end closing workflows.
• Set proper OKRs for, and mentor and supervise team members to achieve organizational objectives and keep on meeting tight deadlines.
• Other ad-hoc duties deemed fit per business growth and strategic direction.

Key Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, financial engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Certification in accounting/finance/business analysis (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, ideally from big 4 or a multi-national financial institution
• Experience in managing accounting software migration and process improvements.
• Deep understanding of IFRS and relevant legislations, policies and regulations.
• Attention to details and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
