Le Charmant was brought into concept when balikbayan Eva Narvaez-Sharma visited Manila after years of living in Las Vegas and sporting artificial nail enhancements. She broke an acrylic nail and could not find any salon able to mend it at that time. Eva then quickly turned her ‘nail misfortune’ into a fortune with the idea of putting up the very first nail salon in the Philippines. On December 9, 1980 the first Le Charmant Sculptured Nails opened in V.V. Soliven Building, Greenhills-EDSA.
