Veggie Oil Car System is a conversion kit that allows diesel engines to run on vegetable oil. It comprises a set of heat exchangers which derive its heat from waste heat from the engine. The principle is simple. Vegetable oil is too viscous and its flash point* is too high to be used as a direct diesel fuel substitute. But by raising the temperature of the vegetable oil, the viscosity is reduced and the temperature is brought closer to that of flash point.
