The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) is a key government entity responsible for formulating policy, planning, programming, coordinating, implementing, and administrating initiatives to promote and regulate transportation and communications networks. Established under the Malolos Constitution on January 21, 1899, the DOTC is essential to the development of the Philippines' economy.
