The Cathay Drug Company, Inc. is a Filipino company established in 1952 and owned by the family of Mr. Yao Shiong Shio. It had been the exclusive distributor of pharmaceutical and animal health products of Merck Sharp & Dohme from 1952 until year 2000.

The Cathay Drug group of companies is a pharmaceutical organization operating exclusively within the Philippines. It is engaged in the marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical products acquired through licensing and supply agreements with national and international companies. Currently, our principal suppliers are Zambon spa (Italy), Biopharm Chemicals Co., Ltd. (Thailand), Aldo Union spa (Italy).
