In June 1983, Mr. Mars C. Chua, President & CEO of Sportshouse, revolutionized the way people shopped for sports equipment and accessories by opening the first branch along Gilmore Avenue. This pioneering retail experience introduced a new one-stop shopping experience that had never been seen before. A year later, the first branch inside a mall was opened at SM North EDSA and, since then, Sportshouse has expanded to regional markets in Visayas and Mindanao with the first branch in Cebu opening in 1994. Today, Sportshouse has become a staple in all major malls across the country.
