Its founders, Psyche Resus, the owner, and Elaine Orozco, the lead artist, have been working passionately to maintain the brand’s lead in artistry, craftsmanship, elegance and uniqueness in the arena of handcrafted designer jewellery and accessories. They strive to provide a rich, colourful and affordable selection of one-of-a-kind artistic pieces that stylishly and meaningfully accentuate outfits and make women of class and sophistication stand out beautifully in the sea of ordinary pop fashion and mass-produced accessories and jewellery.
Babaylan Treasures has been actively participating in events, exhibits and trade shows that showcase Philippine-made products and Filipino pride – those that advocate the support of Filipino artistry, talent, craftsmanship and innovation that are world-class.
The young business is also a manifestation of women empowerment and pride, with its female founders having been actively involved in community projects and social causes – Desaparesidos, FIND (Families of Involuntary Disappearances), CHILD Haus (a halfway house for children outside of Manila, undergoing treatment for cancer and other diseases) and Miss Earth Foundation (a foundation for environmental campaigns and awareness) to name a few – providing the inspiration and motivation behind their ambitions and dreams for the company.
