Pacific Paint (BOYSEN:registered:) Philippines, Inc. was established in 1953 as a repackager of paint and lacquer thinners under the Columbus brand name. In 1958, the company took a step forward and began producing paint with the release of NATION:registered: House Paints. Two years later, Pacific Paint acquired the licensing to manufacture BOYSEN:registered: Paints from the Walter N. Boysen Company in Oakland, California. This access to new technology meant the company could now produce a full range of premium grade BOYSEN:registered: coatings for architectural and industrial applications. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the founding members, Pacific Paint managed to become the leading premium paint provider in the Philippines during the mid-1970s, outselling all other U.S.
