It is freely soluble in water; sparingly soluble in ethanol; soluble in methanol; slightly soluble in dichloromethane and 2-propanol; practically insoluble in ethyl-acetate, diethyl ether, acetone, and heptane. The present invention relates to modified release pharmaceutical formation comprising metoprolol succinate, one or more release modifying agent(s) & pharmaceutically acceptable excipient(s).
