Maricel L. Baltazar (Mache) obtained her law degree in 1997 from the San Beda College of Law, Manila. She finished her pre-law course in the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. After law school, she was invited to join Brillantes Nachura Navarro Jumamil and Arcilla Law Offices, which specializes in election and political law. She then joined SGV & Co. to concentrate on taxation and business law. She later joined the Department of Finance as Division Chief of the Revenue Operations Group under then Sec. Jose Isidro N. Camacho. Returning to private practice, she joined Pricewaterhouse-Manila and a major commercial bank.
