As the demand for higher, clearer and faster bandwidth grew, Mr. Uy pioneered and launched the first Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification protocol (DOCIS) technology on the existing Hybrid Fiber Co-axial HFC) Cable TV Network which already had a distribution capacity then of more than 20,000 subscribers. By installing, operating and maintaining a full fiber optic cable network in Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), ComClark introduced the first ever Fiber to the Building (FTTB) technology in the industry. The decision to deploy a full fiber optic cable infrastructure has allowed ComClark the agility and flexibility to move ahead of the competition that has been encumbered by obsolete technologies and infrastructures.
