South China Resources, Inc. is a Filipino company originally incorporated and registered with the SEC on September 25, 1992 as South China Petroleum and Exploration, Inc. primarily to undertake oil and gas exploration, development, and production.South China was publicly listed in January 5, 1994 in the Philippine Stock Exchange under the stock symbol SOC. SOC is one of the few remaining companies that were formed and listed in the early 90s. In fact it is the only one of that crop that remains active in petroleum exploration today.
