Kalaw Place was established in late 1979 when a small weekend cottage was enlarged to accommodate the influx of tourists coming to Puerto Galera. No formal architectural designs were laid out, and all existing rooms and houses were oriented based on the lay of the land , the sea, and the path of the sun.
