This is a review I came across on another thread at Pinoy Exchange:

I don't even know where to start.

Take it from me. I am from UP and entered MME as an Account Executive. After only a few months, I decided to tender my resignation because I just don't think that enduring the "challenges" and demands of the work is worth it.

If you reached this thread and read this message, especially if you are from UP, and a random person had texted/called you for interview at MME, just don't bother going anymore. Just believe us, or at least me. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE YOU DESERVE TO BE IN.

I also came to this thread before I went to the interview. I even checked their Facebook page. I don't know what on earth came to me that I still decided to take the job offer.

I know most of us seek challenges and a dynamic environment, but this company is beyond challenging. They are exploiting. Exhausting every use they can make of you. And don't expect to be compensated well for it.

There are a lot of OT work. We almost always have to spend the night in the office, then we are still expected to come in on time (8am) the next day. And if we came late, regardless if we did OT and went home at 5 or 6 am, that would still be deducted from our salary. OT is UNPAID.

Nakakapang-hinayang because they have big clients and good projects.

It's just that... They don't do well at keeping their employees. May pagka-autocratic ang presidente ng company. He will shout at you if he wants to. He will humiliate you. He will kick you out for your resting ***** face. Hun, that kind of leadership just doesn't work anymore.

He does not believe in work-life balance. He says WORK IS LIFE. And you can actually feel how he manipulates you, controls you, takes advantage of you as if he owns your life just because he pays your basic salary. Even if salary increases pretty high after surviving for a couple of months to a year, believe me, it's just NOT WORTH IT.

You will have to compromise your HEALTH, sacrifice your time for family, friends and YOURSELF.

In the short period I've been with this company, I can't count how many times I have had my and my friends' heart broken because I could not join them in special occasions.

The president would brag that only the strong deserves to be in MME and those who quit are weak and stupid. But I say, no, we are the strong ones. We are the smart ones. We are strong to not let them exploit and manipulate us. And we are smart to know that we do not deserve how this company treats us.

So, again, just do not bother stepping into their office to prove what I say. JUST. DON'T.

I'll just leave this quote here for the president and management (I wouldn't even dare call them leaders) of Multimedia Exponents, Inc.

"Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to"
