I was a prospective buyer for a property that Jessienin Inot was going to build and sell. My husband and I were communicating with him and his sales manager Ian Torres about the terms of the deal and during the process they said that they are “prioritizing us for the property”. They asked us to make a decision on whether or not we will buy the property as there was another potential buyer but had wanted to prioritize us because we inquired first. We said we will reserve the property and wanted to schedule when we could give the down payment. They did not confirm when the meeting will be so we tried to initiate when to meet and did not hear back. The following week we found out they had sold the property to another buyer on the same day that they said that they wanted to “prioritize” us. Why go through all the trouble to say you are prioritizing us and just selling it to someone else on the same day? He also did not communicate properly and had made assumptions without discussing with us. I also question the professionalism given the myriad of explanations he sent to me and my husband to “justify” his actions and decisions and they all do not hold up. He was contradicting his own statements. He said he didn’t need to explain anything but he still kept explaining himself like a guilty person would. I think he could have been more upfront about just selling it to whoever pays first instead of saying he will prioritize us but sell it to someone else on the same day. There is also a communication crack down with his sales manager and they have differing statements.
