Municipality of New Washington, Aklan

Named after the first President of the United States, George Washington, New Washington is a 4th class municipality in the province of Aklan, Philippines. It is bounded by the municipality of Batan in the East; Kalibo in the West; and Sibuyan Sea on the North. Agriculture is an important sector of the local economy where fishing and rice farming are considered vital contributors. Efren Nadal Fish Farm in Barangay Lawa-an is a major source of exported seafoods in town.
